Mobilising a network of members to define CSR strategies

CONTEXT

Climate change, pollution, biodiversity, economic resilience… the issues facing the mountain sector are becoming ever more pressing. Against this backdrop, OSV, the Rhône-Alpes region’s outdoor industry accelerator, wanted to raise awareness among its members and offer them turnkey support to help them become autonomous in deploying ambitious CSR strategies.

MISSION

Since 2022, each year we have been supporting a group of 5 to 6 member companies in a CSR maturity diagnosis, followed by the development of a CSR strategy for each participant, tailored to the activities and needs of each company. This support includes an initial phase to raise participants’ awareness of the ambitions they need to have in order to meet the environmental and social challenges facing their sector, as well as a final presentation in the presence of the entire class, with the aim of mutually enriching and challenging the strategies.

RESULTS
  • Many of the participants would like to take their commitment even further, for example through B Corp certification or the recruitment of a CSR manager.
  • Local synergies have emerged between different players in the industry, such as Simond, which makes climbing shoes, and the repairer Green Wolf.
