Launch a decarbonization approach, integrate climate issues (biodiversity, water, soil, resources, forests…) and traceability into your strategies.

A European property company operating in France, Germany and Italy, Covivio has decided to step up its commitment to biodiversity from 2022. The aim is to gain a better understanding of its impact on and dependence on biodiversity, define a strategy that meets the challenges and international objectives, and align itself with nature reporting frameworks, in particular the TNFD.
2019
Since 2005, VEJA has been producing trainers differently, with the aim of having a positive impact at every stage of production. This is done with a view to continuously improving their offering and their commitment to offering a sustainable product, while being acutely aware of the associated environmental impacts. For example, in 2019, VEJA wanted to measure its carbon footprint. The objective was clear: to calculate and publish everything, to engage in an exercise in transparency and education, but above all to highlight the unknown consequences of trainer production and reduce the brand’s emissions.

From the assessment of your complete Bilan Carbone to the deployment of the right management software, we are committed to integrating the risks and opportunities associated with climate hazards into your corporate strategy, in line with a 1.5°C trajectory, notably via the ACT Pas à Pas methodology – which we co-developed for ADEME – and within the framework of SBTi or the Net Zero Initiative. FOOTPRINT, DEPENDENCIES AND BIODIVERSITY STRATEGY (TNFD, SBTN)

Economic activities of all kinds rely directly or indirectly on natural resources. To understand the pressure your company is exerting on biodiversity (and to be able to reduce its negative impact), it is essential to be able to measure the footprint and dependencies of your activity and all along the value chain. Once this diagnosis has been made, we draw up a strategic plan, followed by operational action plans aimed at protecting and restoring biodiversity. We also advise you on the best way to integrate your climate, biodiversity, water and circular economy policies, and raise awareness of these issues among employees and management teams.

ANALYSIS OF RISKS, OPPORTUNITIES AND VULNERABILITIES, DEFINITION OF ADAPTATION STRATEGIES

The climate emergency requires companies to adapt in order to continue to exist, and this means understanding and managing the climatic risks and physical constraints facing a company. We carry out risk and opportunity analyses for the full range of climate and environmental issues (which may be linked to CSRD), and help you integrate the identified constraints into your business model, to determine strategic or operational workstreams, structure an adaptation roadmap and feed the innovation roadmap.

TRACEABILITY AND IMPORTED DEFORESTATION

The new European law on imported deforestation requires European companies to provide exhaustive traceability of their value chain. To better understand this, we offer specific training, as well as a mapping and prioritization of supply chains and suppliers with regard to these issues. We also identify certifications and relevant traceability tools, and can draw up a roadmap to achieve “zero deforestation” and strengthen the traceability – and even the local anchoring – of your supplies.
