WHO ARE
WE ?

Created 25 years ago by Elisabeth Laville (HEC88, Knight of the Legion of Honor, Veuve Clicquot Prize for Businesswoman of the Year in 2008), UTOPIES is the first independent agency and French think-tank that supports companies and brands that place sustainable development at the heart of their strategy- and one of the first in the world. With around 50 consultants, UTOPIES has a mission to open up new paths in encouraging companies to integrate social and environmental issues into the heart of their mission, their strategy, and their approach to innovation. The agency is notably recognized for its work on brand strategies and on positive innovation, but also for its expertise on the study of socio-economic impact and the local economy.

Being mindful of applying itself what it recommends to its clients, UTOPIES arrived first to Palmares Best Workplaces and Great Place to work in 2019 and again in 2021, in the category of companies of less than 50 employees. The agency was equally the first company labeled B Corp in France in 2014, and is therefore in charge of development in the hexagon of this international certification of engaged companies.

The Utopies team is located in Paris, where it finds its historic headquarters, but also in Grenoble and Bordeaux as well as in Sao Paulo and Maurice, since the past few years.

WHAT DEFINES US

UTOPIES is an engaged company for the integration of sustainable development and responsible innovation into the strategies and practices of companies. In order to successfully lead its mission, UTOPIES makes and grows a team of committed people who are convinced of the meaning given and to be given to their daily work. The members of the team join behind a vision that is shared and carried with leadership by Elisabeth Laville for nearly the last 25 years. The values of engagement, enthusiasm, goodwill are united in the jobs of managers and directors, but also in the organization of workplaces, in the manner of leading missions, in the relationships with stakeholders and notably with NGOs.

The annual barometer allows the identification of the principal points of satisfaction of the team that works at UTOPIES, which makes our company so unique among others:

What inspires us

  1. The policy “PositiveLife@UTOPIES” regrouping a large panel of actions favours the quality of life, well-being and above all the practice of sports at work : weekly yoga course, shiatsu massage every 15 days, partnering with the French Federation of Hiking, 100% reimbursement of the Vélib subscription, quarterly football tournaments, support for the weekly practice of indoor climbing, annual ski weekend organized by the team with the support of the firm, etc.
  2. At the moment of recruitment, we favour the people who, having equal skills, best embody engagement, goodwill, good mood, and fun – for example the taste for winter sports – which are part of the values of the company.
  3. During the year, to favour the cohesiveness of the team and good mood, we organize a series of events : 2 team buildings, around sport activities and moments of friendliness, team lunches about once a month, team breakfast every Thursday morning offered by UTOPIES brings together all that are present, new hires are celebrated by a welcome lunch, Thursday evening gatherings, etc.
