Annabelle has an engineering degree in Environmental Chemistry and a Masters in Urban Planning and Sustainable Development from Stockholm Polytechnic Institute. For more than 10 years, she has been working with public and private local authorities on their ecological transition strategies. Annabelle worked for 6 years in the Construction and Urban Planning Department of UTOPIES before joining Eiffage’s Sustainable City R&D department, where she was responsible for deploying innovations in development projects. She then moved into regional consultancy, specialising in energy transition issues at Transitions. At UTOPIES, she works with companies and local authorities on their strategies for establishing local roots in the energy, food, banking and urban planning sectors.
Annabelle has a sound knowledge of the food, urban planning and energy sectors. Her various assignments have brought her into contact with private and institutional players, civil society and local authorities, giving her a good understanding of ecosystems and the interplay of players in local areas. She regularly uses facilitation and collective innovation techniques in her research and consultancy work.
Annabelle is fascinated by the philosophy of ayurveda, which she explores in all its forms: sirsasana, biryani, vipassana or abhyanga… when everyday life gives her the time!
