The crucial role of stakeholder panels in corporate sustainability strategy
AccountAbility and UTOPIES have joined forces to produce the “Critical Friends” report, which examines the experience of companies using stakeholder panels to support their sustainability strategy. The main part of the study details the experiences of companies such as Areva, BT, BP, EDF, Camelot, Gaz de France, Ford, Nike and Vodafone.
This work was carried out through interviews with panel members and the company.
The report also provides a practical guide to setting up effective panels, and looks at how such panels can contribute to continuous improvement in reporting, governance and corporate performance.
